C OIIN'.i'Y OHIO, THAT: - - • _ -Sec. •l.. _ That .the _ assessment. of--the cost .and .expense• of. -improving-. • . ~ _ Hi.gh7.and d .in tYie Village of Mayfield, Ohio, from. the 7~7esterly line ®f the Village of T~1ayField-in •an Easterly d5.rection to the ~'~esterly line of SOM Center Road, by,. the constrccti.on of--a water main and .appurtenances there~.n, _ amounting in the aggregate to ~22,365.01~, as reported to this Council on the 15th day of October, 1956, by Board heretofore appointed to estimate said assess- ments, notice of the filing of-which assessments has been given as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted and confirmed, and that there be and there is hereby levied and assessed upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting. upon said improvement the several amounts .reported as aforesaid, which assessments together with the .descriptions of said lots and ].ands are now on file in the office of ..the Clerk of this Council, and which assessments are in proportion to the special benefits and are not in excess of the special benefits to said property, and are not ~ excess of aa~r statutory limitation. Sec, 2. That the total assessment against each: lot or parcel of land shall be payable in cash wit~h,in thirty (30) days from and after the passage of this ordinance, or at the option of the.. owner, i.n ten (10) annual instal.7ments with interest at the same rate as shall be borne on the bonds to'i~e issued in anticipation of the.collect3on of the same. All cash payments shall be made to the treasurer:•of the Village of Mayfield, .A11 assessments and installments thereof remaisiisig unpaid. at the expiration. of said thirty (30) days shall be certified by the Clerlt of the council to the County Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him_placed on the tax duplicate,.and co]~.ected as ot'rier taxes are collectede Sec. 3. That this ordinance being an emergency measure for the immediate._preservation of .the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of the Vil]rage of Mayfield, and shall, take effect immediately upon its passage and approval as an_.emergency measure. because of the necessity of providing funds as• soon as possible to pay the-bonds to be issued in connection with said improvement.
