<br />AN ORDTNANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 475, AS AMENDED,
<br />BY ADDING SEC'TION 1(b), _REQUIRING A DEPOSIT FOR.FETsS
<br />OF. VILZAGE ENGINSER FOR 5`S'rTING _ THE GRADE . IN CEBTAIN CASES
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TH:E COUNCIL OF THE VYI,IAGE OF MAYFIELD, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA,

<br />. Sec. 1. Ordinance No. 475, entitledi "An OrdinanceI Prescribing
<br />Permit Fees for tae Construetion,,Alteration, Addition to, Improvement,
<br />' Demolition _and Bemoval of Dwellitxg Houses atnd Repealing A11.0rdinatxces
<br />and Parts of Ordinances.as.are Inconsistent Therewith", as amended by
<br />Ordinanceg Nos. 493, 641, and 679, is hereby,amended by adding Section i
<br />'(b), reading as £ollows; -
<br />•'Sec. 1(b). Whenever the Building.Inspector is..in doubt
<br />? concer4ing the,,,setting of the grade for arry construetion, he shall
<br />! have tae right to require the owner or appropriaie permi:t holder
<br />to deposit the sum of $25.00 with the Clerk, which sum shall go
<br />into the general fund of the Village, and iii such case the Building
<br />, Inspector shall call upon the Village.Engineer to set the grade,
<br />and the Village Engineer shall be paid the sum of $25.00 from the
<br />general fund of the Village f or sueh serviee in each instance.•'

<br />Sec. 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
<br />, measure, necessary fos the i.mmediate presexvation of the public peace,
<br />health, welfare affid sa£ety of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants,
<br />in order to insure the proper grade,:of buildings now nnder construction
<br />or soon to be under construction, and this ordinaace shall take effect
<br />and be in f orce from and after the date of its passage.
