Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHOR1ZITdG THE Nf,AYOP. .AND THE CZERK <br />OF THE VII,LAGE OF MAYFIELD TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />CdITH THE NORTHEtZN OHIO PAVING CONIPANY FOit SUt'ZFACE <br />TREATING OF THORNAPPZE DRIVE. <br />WIiEREAS, the Engineer of the Village of PdayTield has obtained bids <br />for surf ace treatitig of thornapple Drive; and - <br />SdIiEREAS, the bid of the Noithern Ohio Paving Company, a qualif ied <br />bidder, to perform said worlc ior the sum of Eighti Hnndred Tif-ty Dollars <br />' ($850.00) is deter.mined by Council to be the lowest and best bid submitted. <br />NOW 7."IiEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCTL OF THE VIZZAGE OF Z•1AYFIELD <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIG, THATs <br />Seco le Al1 bids except that of the Northern Ohio Pavin.g Company <br />f or surface treating of Thornapple Drive are hereby rejected and the Clerlc <br />is authorized and directed to return to all said bidders, exeept The <br />Northern Ohio Pavir.g Company, any deposits which accompanied their bids. <br />Sec. 2e The Tvlayor and the Clerk of the Village of Mayf ield, Ohio, <br />are hereby authorized to enter into a contracz on behaZf of the Village <br />with the i?Ioithern Ohio Paving Company for surf ace treating Thornapple <br />Drive, approximately 2000 linear feet by 20 feet in width, using single <br />seal 3/10ths gallon R. C.-3 and 22 lbs #6 slag or limestone per square <br />yard over iull width and length, for the lump sum price of $850,00, <br />aceording to the bid submitted by the Northern Ohio Paving Compahy. There <br />is hereby appropriated f rom the Village Treasury the amount necessary to <br />pay for the work speciiied in said contract. <br />Sec. 30 This ordinance is deenled to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of kHayf ield and its inhabitants, because <br />oi the necessity of repairing said highway before the cold weather sets in, <br />and this ordinance shall talce effect and be in force from and after the d.ate <br />of its passage as an emergency measuree <br />Passed this 17th day of Ociober, 1960. <br />, <br />? <br />1 ?
