Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING rOR EXCHANGE OF FIP.E EQUIPMFN'I` <br />ADtD FIRENIEN IN CASE OF ErYERGENCY GTITH TflE CITY OF <br />MAYFTEZD HEIGHTS AND THE VIZIAGES OF GATES P-iIZZS <br />AND HIGHLAND HEIGATS, OHIO. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VIZZAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THATt <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, are <br />hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements on behalf of <br />the Village of 1vIayfield with the City of Mayfield Heights and the Villages <br />of Gates Mills and Nighland Heighis, Ohio, providing for the exchange of <br />fire fighting equipment and f iremen in the event of emergency.. Such <br />Agreement or Agreements shall not require any party thereto to leave <br />unprotected or in jeopardy its own territory and shall provide that the <br />party making such emergency run out of its own Municipal limits shall <br />bear all expenses in connection therewith. Such-contract shall be for a <br />period not exceeding three (3) years and shall be terminable upon thirty <br />(30) dayst written notice. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, Safety and welf are of the Villaoe of Mayf ield and its inhabitants, <br />in order to provide better fire protection in case of emergency, and shall <br />go into effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of-November, 1960. <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />Attest: <br />V? <br />(s al) lerk
