ORDINANCE No. 732 <br />By Mr. Wedler <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH JOSEPH <br />WIECE FOR TELEPHONE ANSWERIVG SERVICE <br />BE IT ORDATNED BY THE COUiVCIL OF THE VILZAGE' OF NIAYFTELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />STATE. OF.OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized on behalf of <br />? the Village of Mayf ield to enter into an Agreement in writing with Joseph <br />Wiece for telephone answering service £or periods of one year beginning <br />Diarch lst, 1961, unless said agreement is sooner terminated by either party <br />upon 30 days written notice. Said agreement is to provide that said Joaeph <br />Wiece will at his home at #471 Miner Road, on equipment to be furnished by <br />the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, answer all telephone calls not otherwise <br />answered at the Village Hall on all of the Village telephone liries, <br />including its Police Department and Fire Department, and take the messages <br />; and give them to the proper persons, that he will transmit all emergency <br />telephone calls of the Village of Mayf ield Police Department to the Police <br />Department of the City of University Heights, and that he will cooperate <br />with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in re-laying f ire department calls <br />of the Village. This agreement shall be conditioned upon the installation <br />of the necessary lines and equipment by the Ohio Bell Telephone Company <br />in the home of Joseph Wiece, For this service he shall be paid the sum <br />of $75.00 per month. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk are authorized to take such steps <br />as may be necessary to the execution of said contract. <br />Sec. 3. 'This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, nexessary <br />for,the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, welf are and safety <br />of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to provide better <br />I service in the Police, Fire and S'ervice Departrsentso and shall take effect <br />and be in f orce from and after the date o£ its passage. <br />Passed this 23rd day of January , 1961. <br />? <br />Attests ? <br />riayor - Psesident of Council <br />C10rk
