ORDINANCE No. 746 <br />By Mr. Zorn <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR <br />ELECTRIC STREET LIGHTING SERVICE IN THE VILLAGE TO <br />THE CLEVELAND ELECTRIC ILL1JriINATING COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 503 of the Council of the Village <br />passed July 17, 1961, authorizing and directing the Clerk to advertise for <br />bids for f uriiishing electric street lighting service in the Village, The <br />Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company submitted a proposal dated August <br />19, 1961; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal is in proper form and is the lowest and best <br />bid. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IG ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY,.. STATE OF OHIO: <br />Sec. 1. That said proposal of The Cleveland Electric Illuminating <br />Company, for furnishing electric street lighting service in the Village be <br />and the same is hereby accepted, and that,the Mayor and the Clerk of the <br />Village be and they are .hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract <br />in the name of the Village with The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company <br />for a period of five (5) years from and after 12:00 o*clock noon of August 28, <br />1961, subject to cancellation upon written notice by the Contractor to be given <br />prior to April 1st, in any year, to be effective January 1st, in the following <br />year, at the prices and charges and in accordance with the terms and conditions <br />spec if ied in said proposal, for the following initial:installations: <br />Lamp Size Number of Spacing Class if ication <br />Rated in Lamps Normal- Long- <br />Lumens Type Initially Spaced Spaced Isolated <br /> <br />4,000 lumens Inc, 29 12 2 15 ' <br />6,000 lumens Inc. 7 7 X X <br />10,000 lumens Inc.
