An Application for a Permit shall be required of each owner of property ho desires_ to constuct.a sidewalk improvement in~relation to his property within the public right-of-way. Said Application shall contain the name and address of~the Applicant, a brief description of the improvement to be made, and~-the approximate date of completion of said improvement. Said Application shall be filed with the Building Inspector. Sec.~2~ A Permit Fee of $10.00.sha11 accompany each Application for permit a p ovided_in Section 1 hereof. Such permit shall cover the cost. of two inspections of the construction improvement, the initial inspection to be made after the forms are set and a final inspection to be made upon completion of the improvement. Seca 3. Where it is determined by the Village Engineer or by the Building Inspector that it is necessary to establish line and grade settings, an.additiQnal fee of $25.OU shall be paid with the Application, this fee to be in addition to the. permit fee as provided for in_Seetion 2 hereof. Sec. 4. Prior to the issuance of a permit by the Clerk, the Building Inspector shall inspect the premises to be improved, shall determine, the grade level and location of said sidewalk improvement, and shall provide the Appli- cant with specifications for the constriction of said improvement. The Building Inspector shall periodically inspect the constriction of the sidewalk improvement, and shall, ipon its completion, signify his acceptance of the improvement by written statement to the Clerk. Sec. 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary Eor the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of .the Village of Mayf field, and for the further reason that it is necessary.to defray. the cost and expenses of the Village with respect to' property owners= improvement of the public right-of-way and to control the character of the improvement to be constructed, and this ordinance shall take of f eet and be in force from and after the date of its passage..
