Ordinance No. 794 <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE No. 298, <br />AS AMENDED, BY INGEEASING.THE COPlPENSATION OF THE <br />ASSISTANT .BUILDING INSPECTOR & SERVICE, DIRECTOR. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THAT: __ _ _.. .. <br />SeCe 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 298, entitled: "An Ordinance <br />Combining the Position of Building Inspector, Maintenance Supervisor of Sewer <br />Pumps, Custodian of the Village Hall and School Guard, Under the Title of <br />Building Inspector & Service Director,"as Amended by Ordinances Nos. 697, <br />731, 756 and 765, is hereby amended to,read as follows: <br />"Sec. 3. Beginning with April 1, 1963, the compensation of the <br />Building Tnspector & Service Director shall be at the rate of $498.00 <br />per year,_but may be changed from time to time by Council by ordinance <br />or resolution. An Assistant Building Inspector & Service Director, <br />whose duties shall be to assist the Building Inspector & Service Director, <br />shall be appointed by the Building Inspector & Service Director, subject <br />to confirmation by vote of.Council,,and shall serve until removed by <br />the Building Inspector & Service Director, and shall, beginning with <br />April 1, 1963, be compensated at the rate of $5,250.00 per year, but <br />his compensation may be changed from time to time by Council by <br />ordinance or resolution. The Assistant Building Inspector & Service <br />Director shall also be paid the sum of $1.85 for each hour worked in <br />excess of 44 hours in any one week. The compensation of laborers <br />and other employees to assist the Building Inspector & Service Director, <br />except for the Clerk whose compensation is fixed by another ordinance, <br />shall be at the rate of $1.85 per hour. All building permit fees shall <br />be paid into the Village_Treasury." <br />Sec. 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to provide <br />adequate compensation in order to obtain and retain the services of the aforesaid <br />members of the Service Department, and this ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force from and of ter_the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of March, 1963. <br />Attest: <br />~..~ <br />.. ~~ <br />(SE ) erk <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />
