Ordinance No. 810 <br />By Mr. Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE No. 309, BEING AN ORDINANCE <br />TO REGULATE TRAFFIC ON THE STREETS AND PUBLIC HIGHWAYS OF THE <br />VILLAGE_OF HAYFIELD, BY;AMENDING.SECTION No. 13.FERTAINING,T0 <br />T~tAF'FIC CONTROL.SIGNALS, SECTION 19 PERTAINING TO_SPEED. <br />REGULATIONS, SECTION 107 PERTAINING TO,DUTY.IN CASE OF_ <br />COLLISION, AND SECTION No.. 53 PERTAINING TO PARKING RULES, <br />AND..BY.ADDING.SECTION No. 17.1 PERTAINING. TO CONSUMPTION <br />OF BEER AND INTOXICATING LIQUOR IN.A.MOTOR_VEHICLE, AND <br />SECTION 107.1 PERTAINING TO DUTY.IN CASE OF DAMAGE NOT.. <br />OCCURRING ON PUBLIC.ROADS,OR.,HIGHWAYS <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA,CO'tJNTY <br />OHIO, THAT: _ <br />Sec. 1. Section 13 of Ordinance No. 309, being an ordinance to regulate <br />traffic on the streets and public highways in the Village of Mayfield, is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />"Sec. 13- Traffic Control Signals. <br />"Whenever traffic is controlled by traffic control signals exhibiting <br />diff Brent illuminated colored lights, or controlled with illuminated arrows, <br />the following colors only shall be used and the terms and lights shall <br />indicate and apply to operators of vehicles, street cars and trackless <br />trolleys, and pedestrians as follows: <br />(A) Circular green alone or "go" signal: <br />(1) Pedestrians facing the signal may proceed across the roadway <br />within any marlced or unmarked crosswalk unless directed otherwise by a <br />pedestrian signal or a traffic control device. <br />(2) All other traff is facing the signal except as provided under <br />sections 4511.36 and 4511.58 of the Ohio Revised Code may proceed straight <br />through or turn right or left, unless a sign at such place prohibits, such <br />turn. But such traffic shall yield the right of way to vehicles, street <br />cars, and trackless trolleys lawfully within the intersection and to <br />pedestrians lawfully within a crosswalk at the time such signal is exhibited. <br />(B) Circular yellow alone or ''caution" when shown following the <br />green or "go" signal: <br />(1) No pedestrian facing such signal shall enter the roadway. <br />(2) All other traff is facing the signal is warned that the red or <br />"stop:.' signal will be exhibited immediately thereafter, and that pedestrians <br />proceeding in accordance with the traffic control signals shall have the <br />right of way. <br />
