ORDINANCE No, 815 <br />By Mr. Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE NiAYOR AND THE CLERK OF <br />THE VILLAGE OF NIAYFIELD TO ENTER INTO.A.CONTRACT WITH <br />MAYtS CONSTRUCTION CO..F0R THE CONSTRUCTION. OF SIDEWALKS <br />ON WILSON MILLS ROAD TdHEN FUNDS AP.E ,AVAILABLE OR . IN <br />THE PROCESS OF COLLECTION <br />WHEREAS, Council of the Village of I~iayfield, Ohio, has heretofore <br />deemed it necessary to construct sidewalks on Wilson Nlills Road in said <br />Village, and has advertised and received bids therefor according to law; and <br />TnTEi.EREAS, the bid of May's Construction Co. in the amount of <br />$9,000.00 is determined by Council to be the lowest and best bid submitted <br />by a duly qualified bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VTLZAGE OF <br />HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY,, OHIO; _ <br />Sec. 1. All bids except that of May's Construction Co. for the <br />construction of sidewalks on idilson Mills Road are hereby rejected and <br />the Clerk is authorized and directed to return to all bidders, except <br />May's Construction Co., the certified or bank checlcs which accompanied <br />their bids, <br />Sec. 2.. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, <br />are hereby authorized to enter into a contract in writing on behalf of said <br />Village with AlayYs Construction Co. for the construction and installation <br />of sidewalks on Wilson dills Road in said Village, for the amount of <br />$9,000.00, at such time as the necessary funds for that purpose are <br />available or in the process of collection, said contract to be performed <br />in accordance with the plans and specifications filed by the Village Engineer <br />in connection with tree invitation for bids. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is hereby deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, and for the <br />further reason that the immediate construction of such sidewalks is urgently <br />required to permit safe passage of persons using said street and to eliminate <br />existing hazards to pedestrians, and this ordinance shall be in force and <br />effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 16th day of September, 1963. <br />Attest: ~~,~,(~C~'~j`'~-~/~L, G.y ~ ~~i /'~`~!/,/ <br />„~~ ~ ~~,~; rlayor - President of Council <br />(~AL ) ~Z~~:~rlc _ <br />
