C~ i ~~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII~ OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT:.. Sec. 1. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized on behalf of the Village of.Mayfield to enter into an agreement in writing with riartha Wiece for telephone answering service for a period of one year, beginning February 1, 1964, and continuing from year to year thereafter unless sooner terminated~by either party upon 30 daysY written notice. Said Agreement is to provide that said Martha Wiece will at her home at No. 471 Miner Road, on equipment to be furnished by the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, answer all telephone calls not otherwise answered at the Village Hall on all of the Village telephone lines, including its Police Department and Fire Department, and take the messages and give them to.the proper persons,,., that she will transmit all emergency tele- phone calls of the Village of Mayfield Police Department to the Police Department of the City of University Heights, and that she will cooperate with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in relaying fire department calls of the Village. For this service she shall be paid the sum of $75.00 per month. Sec. 2. The Nlayor and the Clerk are authorized to take such steps as_may be necessary to the execution of said contract. Sec. 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary f or the. immediate preservation of the public peace, health, welfare and safety of the Village of Diayfield and its inhabitants, iri order to provide better service in the Police, Fire and Service Departments, and shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage.
