RESOLUTION N0. 86-21 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING CLASSIC CHEVROLET, INC. AS <br />THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO THE <br />MUNICIPALITY OF TWO (2) CARS FOR THE FIRE CHIEF AND <br />BUILDING COMTIISSIONER, AUTHORIZ ING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH CLASSIC CHEVROLET, INC. REJECTING <br />ALL OTHER BIDS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF NIAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Secti,on 1.. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Classic Chevrolet, Inc. is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder f or the sale to the <br />municipality of two (2) cars for the Fire Chief and Building <br />Commissioner. <br />Section 2 The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and c3irected to enter into a purchase agreement with <br />Classic Chevrolet, Inc, in an amount not to exceed Eleven Thousand Six <br />Hundred Eighty Five Dollars ($11,685.00) for each of the automobiles <br />providing that said purchase agreement is in accordance with the <br />specifications upon which the bid was receivec7e <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4s That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Codeo <br />Section 5s This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the automobiles purchased herein are necessary to <br />maintain effective governmental services.e It shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than four (4) members elected to Council A_nd approval by Mayor or <br />otherwise at the earliest time allowed y aw <br />/ <br />First Reading: 4/21186 <br />ichiArd C.
