RESOLUTION N0. 86-34 <br />INTRODUCED BYa Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ACTION OF COUNCIL IN <br />AWARDING A CONTRACT TO GREAT AMERICAN SU RPLUS <br />LINES INSURAIVCE COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR <br />THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIX DOLLP,RS ($4,106.00) FOR <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE, <br />INCLUDING ERRORS AND OMISSIONS AND AMBULANCE <br />NP,LPRACTICE, FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, 1986 TO <br />JUNE l, 1987 AND DECL ARING AN EMERG ENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, on June 2, <br />1986, authorized the Mayor to execute a contract with Great American <br />Surplus Lines Insurance Company in the amount of Four Thousand One <br />Hundred Six Dollars ($4,106.00) for the purchase of Fire Department <br />Professional Liability Insurance, including errors and omissions and <br />ambulance malpractice, for the period June 1, 1986 to June 1, 1987; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Council authorized the Mayor to execute the <br />contract, as aforesaid, because the prior policy had expired; and <br />?.7HEREAS, the Council is now desirous of ratifying its action <br />in authorizing the Mayor to execute the contract, as aforesaid; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF NIAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, hereby <br />ratifies its action of June 2, 1986 authorizing the Mayor to execute a <br />contract with the Great American Surplus Lines Insurance Company in <br />the amount of Four Thousand One Hundred Six Dollars ($4,106.00) for <br />the purchase of Fire Department Professional Liability Insurance, <br />including errors and omissions and ambulance malpractice, for the <br />period June l, 1986 to June 1, 1987e <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />f ormal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Codeo <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reasons set forth in the preamble heretoe It shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than four (4) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or
