RESOLUTION N0. 86-50 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION URGING THE ELECTORATE OF THE <br />HILLCREST AREA TO VOTE '°YES'° ON ISSUE 31 <br />AUTHORIZ ING A 1.134 MILL BOND ISSUE FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A SWIMNiING POOL AND COMMUNITY <br />ATHLETIC COMPLEX ON THE CAMPUS OF MAYFIELD HIGH <br />SCHOOL. <br />WHEREAS, Issue 31 will appear on the ballot at the General <br />Election to be held on November 4, 1986; and <br />WHEREAS, Issue 31 is a 1.134 Mill Bond Issue for the <br />construction of a swimming pool and community athletic complex on the <br />campus of Mayfield High School; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed swimming pool will be available for <br />community open swim, senior citizens, handicapped residents, adult <br />education, learn-to-swim classes, physical education and swim teams <br />while the athletic complex, to include an indoor running track, <br />additional gyms, wrestling room and an all-purpose room, will be <br />available for community and school use; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of the Bond Issue to the average homeowner <br />($75,000.00 value) will be $2.17 per montho and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfielc] Village, Ohioo <br />have determined that the cost of the Bond Issue is reasonable and that <br />the passage of same will greatly benefit the students at Mayfield High <br />School and the community in generalp now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section lo The Mayor anc3 Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, hereby urge the electorate of the Hillcrest Area to vote "Yes" <br />on Issue 31 authorizing a 1.134 Mill Bond Issue for a swimming pool <br />and community athletic complex on the campus at Mayfield High School. <br />Section 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Clerks of <br />Councils for all communities in the Hillcrest Area and to the <br />Cleveland Plain Dealer, Euclid News Herald and the Sun Newspapers. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4.
