RESOLUTION N0. 85- 13 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING J.D. FIRE EQUIPMENT TO <br />BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE CHANGE <br />OVER AND BODY WORK TO THE VILLAGE PUMPER TRUCK, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH J.D. FIRE EQUIPMENT <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, J.D. Fire Equipment is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the change over and body <br />work to the Village pumper truck. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with J.D. Fire <br />Equipment in an amount not to exceed Eight Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars (58,500.00) for the aforementioned work provided that the said <br />contract is in conformance with the specifications upon which the bid <br />was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the change over and body work to the Village <br />pumper truck authorized herein is necessary to provide effective fire <br />fighting service for the residents of the community. It shall <br />therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote <br />of not less than four (4) members elected to Council and approval by <br />the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed b law. <br />First Reading: <br />4/15/85 <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Suspended <br />Suspended <br />Ric and C.
