RESOLUTION N0. 85- 47 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO VILLAGE DISPOSAL, <br />INC. AS LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR RUBBISH REMOVAL <br />IN MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Village Disposal, Inc. is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for rubbish removal in <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract with Village Disposal, <br />Inc. for rubbish removal services within the municipality from August <br />1, 1985 through July 31, 1988 in the amount of Five Dollars and Four <br />Cents ($5.04) per home per month, together with a charge of Eighty <br />Five Dollars (585.00) per month for twice a week rubbish removal at <br />the Village Hall and Service Building, with a five percent (5~) raise <br />in said prices to take effect during the final year of the contract. <br />The contract awarded shall be in a form approved by the Director of <br />Law. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this-Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5~, This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the-contract awarded herein is necessary to maintain <br />effective governmental services. It shall theref ore take effect <br />immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than four <br />(4) members elected to Council and appro. by the Mayo otherwise <br />at the earliest time allowed by law. .- <br />7/15/85 Richard C.
