'RESOLUTION N0. 84° 15 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ ING THE FILING <br />OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE FEDERAL LAND <br />AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND ACT OF <br />1965 FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE BIKE <br />PATH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCYo <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of <br />1965 (Public Law 88-578) provides financial assistance to the State of <br />Ohio for outdoor recreation purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village are <br />desirous of obtaining financial assistance under the Land and Water <br />Conservation Fund Act program; now, thereforeP <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MP,YFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section ].. The Mayor and Council of biayfield Village, <br />Ohio, do hereby approve, authorize and direct that an application be <br />filed for financial assistance under the Land and Water Conservation <br />Fund Act of 1965 for the purpose of completing the Mayfield Village <br />Bike Path. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute anol file an application with the <br />Department of Natural Resources, State of Ohio, anc3 to provide all <br />information and documentation required in said application for <br />submission to the United States Department of the Interior. <br />Section 3. The Mayor and Council, on behalf of the muni- <br />cipality, do hereby agree to obligate the funds required to satis- <br />factorily complete the proposed project and thus become eligible for <br />Land and Water Conservation Func3 Act financial aid of up to fifty <br />percent (50%) of the actual allowable reimbursement cost. <br />Section 4 That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements incluc7ing the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Codeo <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio,
