\ _ - RESOLUTION N0. 88-27 INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND THE COUNCIL AS A WHOLE A RgSOLUTION OF SYMPATHY TO 'YHS FAMffLY OF NffiSON PORTSR WHERBAS, Nelson Porter dutifully and faithfully served as Fire Chief of the Mayfield Village Fire Department £rom November 18, 1946, through April 1, 1966; and WHEREAS, Nelson Porter continued his public service to Mayfield Village by serving as a school guard from November, 1971, through Sune, 1980; and WHERLrAS, Nelson Porter, unselfishly donated many hours as a member o£ the Commission on Aging from January 1, 1980, through May 14, 1988; and WHERLAS, Nelson Porter has enriched the lives of the residents of Mayfield Village and has made Mayfield Village a better place to live because of his public service. NOW, THERSFORE, BB IT R$SOLVBD by the Council of Mayfield Village, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, that: SECTION 1: The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, on behalf of the entire Administration, employees and residents of the municipality, express their deepest sympathy to the Family of Nelson Porter and pay a final tribute to a devoted and faithful public servant. SECTION 2: The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to the Family of Nelson Porter as a small token of the esteem in which he is held by the residents, officials and employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio.
