RESOLUTION N0. 860 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Leech <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />TO GIVE AID AND ASSISTANCE TO THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD IN <br />SECliRING TRAFFIC ENGIPdEERING CONSULTANTS TO MAKE AN UPDATED <br />STUDY AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING TRAFFIC ON WILSON MILLS <br />ROAD BETWEEN S.O.M. CENTER AND LANDER ROAD AND ON LANDER ROAD <br />SETWEEN WILSON MILLS ROAD AND RIDGEBURY BOULEVARD AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />tidHEREAS, the increase of traffic coming from the Freeway onto the streets <br />hereinafter mentioned and the amount of new building construction in the Village of <br />riayfield and adjoining communities have created difficult traffic problems which <br />require a study and recommendations for their solution, and <br />a study. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cuyahoga has funds available to help finance such <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Council of the Village of Mayfield hereby requests the Board of <br />County Commissioners to give aid and assistance to the Village of Mayfield in securing <br />traffic engineering consultants to make an updated study and recommendations, plans <br />and specifications, regarding control of traffic on Wilson Mills Road between S.O.M. <br />Center Road and Lander Road and on Lander Road between Wilson Mills Road and Ridge- <br />bury Boulevard. <br />Section 2. The Clerk-Treasurer is directed to transmit a certified copy of <br />this Resolution to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare, for the reasons hereinabove stated, and shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br />Adopted this 18th day of March, 1974. <br />Attest: <br />(Seal) ' Clerk-Treasurer <br />,- <br />„ <br />?
