<br />Resolution No. 998 <br />Introduced by: CouriCil as a WhOle <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE COUNCIL REJECTING <br />THE ORDINANCE PROPOSED ON INITIATIVE PETITION, BEING A <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCES AND <br />THE OFFICIAL DISTRICT AND ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />MAYFIELD, OHIO, BY TRANSFERRING CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE <br />SOUTH SIDE OF WILSON MILLS ROAD FROM A CLASS U-1 (SINGLE- <br />FAMILY HOUSE) DISTRICT TO A CLASS U-3 (APARTMENT HOUSE) <br />DISTRICT, AND FROM A CLASS A-1 DISTRICT TO CLASS A-3 <br />DISTRICT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk of Council has determined the sufficiency of an <br />Initiative Petition pursuant to Article VII of the Charter of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, Article VII of the Charter of Mayfield Village, Ohio provides <br />Council sha11 take final action, either enacting, amending, or rejecting the <br />proposed ordinance within 40 days after it has been certified sufficient by the <br />Clerk of Council; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. The Initiative Petition which proposes an ordinance the title <br />and text of which are: <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCES AND THE OFFICIAL <br />DISTRICT AND ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, BY TRANSFERRING CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF <br />WILSON MILLS ROAD FROM A CLASS U-1 (SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE) <br />DISTRICT TO A CLASS U-3 (APARTMENT HOUSE) DISTRICT, AND FROM <br />A CLASS A-1 DISTRICT TO CLASS A-3 DISTRICT. <br />Section 2. The Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio hereby rejects the proposed <br />ordinance. <br />Section 3. This resolution is declared to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the preservation of the public peace, safety and welfare of the Village and its <br />inhabitants arising out of the necessity of Council to act within 40 days after <br />said Initiative Petition has been certified by Clerk of Council; wherefore, this <br />resolution shall take effect and be in full orce a d effect from and after the <br />date of its passage and approval by the Ma or. ?
