RESOLUTION ND.. 88- 61 INTRODUClsD BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RSSOLUTION OF APPRSCIATION TO CHARLSS LITMAN WHSRSAS, Charles Litmsn became a member of the Mayfie.Zd Village Police Department on June 1, 1959; and WHEREAS, CharZes Litman was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on August 15, 1960; and WHEREAS, Chsrles Litman served as acting PoZice Chief between Ju1y 21, 1978 through December 18, 1978; and WHEREAS, Charles Litman faithfu.Zly and dutifulZy served the Village as a police officer for over twenty-nine (29) years; and WHEREAS, Charles Litman should not be allowed to leave the service of MayfieZd Village without an expression of the apprecia- tion he rightfuZly deserves; now, therefore, BS IT RESOLVBD BY THB COUNCIL OF MAYFISLD VILLAGS, OHIO, TfIAT: SBCTION 1. The Mayor and Council of MayfieZd Village, Ohio, on beha.Zf of themselves and all of the employees and residents of the municipality, hereby express their deep appreciation and thanks to Charles Litman for his service as a mem6er of the Police Department from .Tune 1, 1959 through Novem6er 26, 1988. SSCTION 2. The C1erk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to Charles Litman as a small tolren of the esteem in which he is held by the residents, officials and employees of Mayfield VilZage, Ohio. The other original sha11 be placed in the permanent records of the VilZage ss a lasting tribute to CharZes Litman. SSCTION 3.
