RESOLUTION No. 683 By Mr. Shaw AN Eh1ERGENCY RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND LAMP LOCATION EXHIBIT FOR FURNISHING ELECTRIC STREET LIGHTING SERVICE_IN.THE VILLAGE AND DIRECTING THE CLERK_OF THE VILLAGE. TO ADVERTISE FOR_BIDS.FOR FURNISHING.SUCH_SERVICE _ WEiERE.AS, Specifications and Lamp Location Exhibit for an electric street lighting. system in the Village have been prepared and are on file in the office of the Clerk of the Village; and WHEREAS, public safety and welf are require the lighting of the streets of the Village as therein provided; and WHEREAS, such lighting should be procured by contract. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO• _ - Sec. 1. That said Specifications and Lamp Location Exhibit in the office of the Clerk of the Village, for furnishing electric street lighting service in the Village, be and the same are hereby approved, Sec. 2. That the Clerk of the Village be authorized and directed to advertise once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circul- ation within the Village, for bids for furnishing electric street lighting service in accordance with said Specif ications and Lamp Location Exhibit. Sec. 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure in that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and saf ety of the Village for the reason that such electric street lighting is essential for the protection of pedestrian and vehicular traffic within this municipality, and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all of the members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
