RESOLUTION No, 736 <br />BY: 1~iP~. DAVIS <br />A RESOLUTION i~1EMOP.IALIZING TIIE CITY OF CLEVELAND AN~71 OTHER <br />i~ltTNICIPALITIES IN TIE. CENTRAL COLLECTION AGENCY RELATING TO <br />MUNICIPAL INCOME TAh ON NON-RESIDETTT, UNINCORPORATEA BUSIiJESSES. <br />ti~IiEREAS, under Chapter 19 of the Uniform Income Tax Ordinance passed <br />by the City of Cleveland and other municipalities participating in the Central <br />Collection Agency, and under Section 5,05 of the regulations pertaining to the <br />income tax being administered by the administrator of the City of-Cleveland and <br />the Central Collection Agency, a professional man or other self-employed person <br />or unincorporated business is assessed, the tax on the net profits earned during <br />the effective period of the Ordinance attributable to the particular municipality, <br />the entire tax going to the municipality where the self-employed person or un- <br />incorporated business is located, without reciprocity and without any part of <br />the tax being distributed to the municipality or taxing sub-division, where the <br />self-employed person or member resides, <br />N067, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ~~IAYFIELD, <br />CUYAI~OGA COUNTY, OLIO, all members elected thereto concurring: <br />Section 1. That tl?e City of Cleveland and all other municipalities in <br />the County of Guyah.oga, which have p"laced in effect th.e Uniform ~LZunicipal Income <br />Tax Ordinance, and participate in the Central Collection Agency, be, and they <br />axe hereby memorialized and requested to examine the feasibility of amending the <br />income tax Ordinance and/or the regulations pertaining to the taxation of self- <br />employed persons and unincorporated businesses and professions, to the end that <br />the tax_ assessed againat such self-employed person, unincorporated business or <br />profession by the taxing sub-division where said taxpayer is located, shall share <br />said tax with the municipality wher-ein,said person. or member of said unincorporated <br />business resides in accordance with. the reciprocity_provisions of the income tax <br />Ordinance. <br />Sectior~2, The Clerl~,-Treasurer is directed to send a copy or this <br />Resolution to all municipalities in the County of Cuyahoga, participating in the <br />Central Collection Agency, and to-t'qe Administrator, Louis V. Corsi, <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />. inunediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace and safety of the <br />Village of i~iayfield, Ohio, and in order to properly implement the amendment to the <br />income tax Ordinance, which goes it,to effect on July 1, 1965, <br />
