RESOLUTION N0. 89-45 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />ACCEPTING THE BID OF CLASSIC CfiEVROLET <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF TWO FLEETSIDE PICK-UP TRUCKS <br />WITH TRADE-IN IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEID <br />TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT <br />DOLLARS ($21,478.00) AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF <br />COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A PURCfiASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID PICK-UP 1RUCKS, <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN II•fERGINCY <br />WHEREAS, bids have been received for the purchase by Mayfield Village of <br />two new fleetsize pick-up trucks, with the trade-in for one pick-up truck, and <br />WfIEREAS, the bid of Classic Chevrolet for the sale to Mayfield Village of <br />two (2) new pick-up trucks in the amount of lbrenty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred <br />Seventy-Eight Dollars ($28,978.00) with a trade-in allowance of Seven Thousand <br />Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) for two pick-up trucks, for a total net bid <br />of Twenty-One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($21,478.00) was the <br />lowest bid received; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as <br />required by law, Classic Chevrolet is hereby declared to be the lowest and <br />best bidder for the sale of the municipality of two (2) fleetside pick-up <br />trucks. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute a purchase agreement with Classic Chevrolet in an amount <br />not to exceed 'lwenty-One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars <br />($21,478.00) provided that such purchase agreement is in accordance with <br />specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions o£ <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Sectian 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
