08/18/89 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89- 55 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING NEAT-LINE CO., INC. TO BE <br />THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE <br />STRIPING OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ELEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED <br />FIFTY-SEVEN DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-THREE CENTS ($11,457.73) AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to advertisement <br />as required by law, Neat-Line Co., Inc. is hereby declared to be the lowest <br />and best bidder for the striping of certain streets within the municipality. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with Neat-Line Co., Inc. in an amount <br />not to exceed Eleven Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-Seven Dollars and <br />Seventy-Three Cents ($11,457.73) for the aforesaid project provided that said <br />contract is in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was <br />received. <br />SECTION 3. Council hereby declares that Neat-Line Co., Inc. was the only <br />bidder and, therefore, no other bids need be rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption o£ this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations o£ this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents o£ Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract <br />authorized herein is necessary to maintain effective traf£ic control through- <br />out the municipality. It shall, therefore, take ef£ect imnediately upon the
