oM i7°s9° <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89- 56 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTIiORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO <br />MAKE PAYMENT TO MOTOROLA, INC. <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED <br />FORTY DOLLARS ($3,840.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />TEN (10) PAGERS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />AND DECLARING AN FrIIE&GENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. 'I'he Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to <br />pay to Motorola, Inc. the sum of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Dollars <br />($3,840.00) for the purchase of ten (10) pagers £or the Fire Department. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that such equipment would assist the <br />Fire Department in providing emergency service to the citizens and transients <br />of Mayfield Village.
