ORDINANCE N0. 86- 24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZ ING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF <br />FINANCE TO ENTER INTO THE NECESSARY COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND THE <br />STATE OF OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE <br />REPAIR AND RESURFACING OF RIDGEBURY BOULEVARD FROM <br />LANDER ROAD TO THE HAYFIELD EAST CORPORATION LINE, <br />FURTHER AUTHORIZ ING THE MAYOR TO MAKE APPLICATION <br />TO THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR <br />APPROVAL TO USE COUNTY MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE TAX <br />FUNDS TO FUND A PORTION OF THE AFORESAID IMPROVE- <br />MENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village have <br />recognized the need for and propose the improvement of Ridgebury <br />Boulevard from Lander Road to the Mayfield East Corporation Line by <br />having the same repaired and resurfaced; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid road improvement is part of a larger <br />project which is the repair and resurfacing of Ridgebury Boulevard <br />from Richmond Road to S.O.M. Center Road in the Village of Mayfield, <br />and the Cities of Lyndhurst, Mayfield Heights and Highland Heights; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, do hereby declare it to be in the public interest at the consent <br />of the Municipality is hereby given to Cuyahoga County and the State <br />of Ohio Department of Transportation to repair and resurface Ridgebury <br />Boulevard from Lander Road to the Mayfield East Corporation Line in <br />accordance with the plans, specifications and cost estimates approved <br />by the County. - <br />Section 2i Mayfield Village agrees to cooperate with <br />Cuyahoga County and the State of Ohio Department of Transportation as <br />follows: <br />A. The Municipality will cooperate with the County <br />and the Ohio Department of Transportation in the <br />repair and resurfacing of Ridgebury Boulevard from <br />Lander Road to the Mayfield East Corporation Line. <br />B. The Municipality will arrange for the preparation <br />of construction plans and specifications including <br />necessary engineering reports for improvement under <br />current Cuyahoga County Engineer standards for <br />construction of County roads and bridges. <br />C. The County will arrange for the supervision and <br />administration of the construction contract. <br />
