ORDI.'NANCE N0. 86-26 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 85-27 <br />PERTAINING TO WAGES, BENEFITS AND OTHER TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR EMPLOYEES OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, BY ENACTING NEW SECTION 1 (N) <br />PERTAINING TO EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ABSENT FROM THEIR <br />EMPLOYMENT DUE TO CERTAIN MILITARY OBLIGATIONS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 85-27, enacted by <br />the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, on December 23, 1985, is hereby <br />amended by enacting Section 1(N) which shall read as follows: <br />Section 1. Effective January 1, 1986, the wages, <br />benefits and other terms and conditions of employment <br />for employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio, shall be as <br />follows:. <br />* ~ <br />N. Military Duty. <br />Any employee of the Municipality called to <br />two (2) week summer camp in conjunction with his <br />military obligation .shall receive from the municipality <br />that sum equal to the difference between his military <br />pay and that pay received by him for his regular work <br />week with the municipality for the said two (2) week <br />period. The employee shall not have deducted from <br />his holiday time, vacation time or accumulated but <br />unused sick leave time any of the days during which <br />he is absent due to the said military obligation <br />provided the obligation does not exceed two (2) <br />weeks. <br />Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this <br />ordinance in whole or in part are hereby repealed to the extent <br />necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinance. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />
