ORDINANCE N0. 86-32 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1333.01(a) OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE 1987 EDITION OF <br />THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE SO AS TO INCORPORATE <br />IN SAID SECTION ALL AMENDMENTS TO THE NATIONAL <br />ELECTRICAL CODE, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br />INCONSISTENT HEREWITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 1333.01(a) of the Codified Ordinances <br />of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />(Deleted material appears like the and new material appears <br />like THIS) <br />Chapter 1333 <br />National Electrical Code <br />1333.01 Adoption; Enforcement <br />(a) EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1987, there is hereby adopted <br />by Council that certain Code known as the X984 1987 <br />Edition of the National Electrical Code E-I~F~PA-1~c~.--~a-~~~~~ <br />and Article 700 of the National Fire Protection Association, <br />as the same are now constituted and as amended from time- <br />to-time. <br />Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this <br />ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to <br />avoid conflict with this ordinance. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the amendment authorized herein is necessary to <br />maintain effective Building Code enforcement. It shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than four (4) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or <br />
