RESOLUTION N0. 87-59 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TAE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />TO MARE PAYMENT TO LOVE INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY <br />DOLLARS (54,230.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF PUBLIC <br />OFFICIALS LIABILITY INSURANCE FROM AMERICAN EMPIRE <br />SURPLUS LINES INSURANCE CO. FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 2, <br />1987 TO JUNE 2, 1988 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLV ED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to pay to Love Insurance Agency, Inc. the sum of Four <br />Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Dollars (54,230.00) for the purchase of <br />public officials liability insurance from American Empire Surplus <br />Lines Insurance Co. for the period June 2, 1987 to June 2, 1988 in <br />accordance with the proposal for such insurance made by Love Insurance <br />Agency, Inc. <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the insurance purchased herein is necessary to protect <br />municipal assets.
