ORDINANCE N0. 88- 29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN & COUNCIL AS A WHOLE. <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />ArSEBIDING SECTION 1157.01 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PROHIBITING A DOUBLE-HOUSE ON A CORNER LOT <br />IN A CLASS U-1 DISTRICT AND <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH <br />WHERREAS, Section 1157.01 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, provides that, with certain restrictions, a double-house may be built on <br />a corner lot in a Class U-1 District; and <br />WHERREAS, Council now wishes to prohibit a double-house to be used as two <br />(2) single-family dwellings in a Class U-1 District; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Existing Section 1157.01 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />-, Mayfield Village, Ohio, entitled "Single-Family House District," is hereby <br />amended by deleting certain conditions for providing a double-house on a <br />corner lot in a Class U-1 District so that the amended Section 1157.01 will <br />now read as fnllnws: <br />1157.01 SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE DISTRICT. <br />In a Class U-1 District, no building or premises <br />shall be used and no building shall be erected which is <br />arranged, intended or designed to be used, for a Class <br />U-2, U-3, Local Business District, U-5, U-6 or U-7 use. <br />In a Class U-1 District, no building or premises shall <br />be used, and no building shall be erected, which is <br />arranged, intended or designed.to be used except for <br />a Class U-1 use. In any part of a Class U-1 District <br />that is within a Class A-1 District, no building shall <br />be used and no building shall be erected which is <br />arranged, intended or designed to be used, as a semi- <br />detached single-family dwelling or double house. <br />SECTION 2. All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, <br />in whole or in part, are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to avoid <br />conflict with this Ordinance. <br />
