- ORDINANCE N0. 88- 31 - INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN & COUNCIL AS A WHOLE. AN ORDINANCE AMEi~IDING SECTION 1181.03(b) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO THE LOT AREA PER FAMILY IN A CLASS A-2 DISTRICT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Existing Section 1181.03, entitled "Lot Area Per Family," of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, now consisting of Subsec- tion (b) is hereby amended by increasing the lot area per family in a Class A-2 District so that the new Section will read as follows: (b) In a Class A-2 District, no dwelling shall be erected or altered to make provision for more than one (1) family for each fifteen thousand (15,000) square feet of the area of the lot. SECTION 2. All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, in whole or in part, are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this Ordinance. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections for approval or rejection by the electorate of Mayfield Village, Ohio, pursuant to Article III, Section 13, of the Charter of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and directs the Clerk of Council and Law director to take whatever other steps necessary in order to comply with all directives of the said Board of Elections in order to secure placement on the ballot as aforesaid.
