ORDINANCE N0. 89-50 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF LIEUTENANT <br />IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. There is hereby established the position of Lieutenant in the <br />Fire Department of Mayfield Village, Ohio. The compensation, terms and <br />benefits attributed to such position shall be determined from time-to-time by <br />Council. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of <br />the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the position <br />authorized herein is necessary to effectively operate the Fire Department <br />within the Municipality. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon <br />the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected <br />to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed <br />by law. <br />BASILE, Council President <br />First Reading: December 18, 1989 <br />Second Reading: Suspended , 1989 <br />Third Reading: Suspended , 1989 <br />PASSED: llecemb 18 , 1989 <br />APPROVED: ?D t'_? <br />FRED N.
