<br />Ordinance No. 78-30 <br />By: <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />THE PURCHASE OF POLICE CARS ON A <br />NON-COMPETITIVE BASIS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised and received according <br />to law only one bid was received for three police cars, which bid <br />was non-conforming; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor having been able to negotiate for auto- <br />mobiles more nearly in conformity to the specifications at a <br />substantially lower price; now therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The bid of Marshall Motors Co. for police cars <br />is rejected and the purchase of police cars is declared to be <br />non-competitive. <br />Section 2. The three attached contracts with Glavic Motors <br />are declared to be the best available by negotiation. The Mayor <br />and Finance Director are authorized to execute them. <br />Section 3. This is an emergency ordinance immediately neces- <br />sary for the preservation of the peace and safety of the community <br />in that the current police cars no longer adequately function.
