BS IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE# OHIO# THATi <br />Section 1: <br />Chapter 739 of the Codified Ordinaaces of Mayfield V <br />ohio, as aow adopted and in existance is repealed and the foll <br />is substitutied theretor: <br />739.01 Definitions <br />As used ia thi9 chaptert <br />(a) "Canvasaing" or "solicitiaq,• ualees expreaely <br />provided for otherwiae, meaas traveliaq from re- <br />sideace to reeidence wilhin the Municipality, <br />without haviag a previoua appointmeat to vitit <br />the reeideaca or reeidences vieited !or the <br />purpoae of expoeinq or offerinq for iaspection <br />or aale, gooda, warea, merchendise, loodatult¦ <br />or any other property, tanqiblo or intianqible, <br />of aay aature whateoever, or eervicea, or for <br />the purposa ot takinq or attemptinq to take <br />orders for the purchase of qooda, aares, merchan- <br />.dise, foodstuffs or other property, tangibia <br />or intangible, of any aature whataoever, for <br />future deliver, or oP services to be lurniehed <br />or performed ia the future whether directly • <br />for the resident or on an indirecti or "group" <br />basis. "Canvaasing" or "solicitinq" slso means <br />the soliciting of funda or other property for <br />charitable or other purpoaee anywhere within the <br />Muaicipality. The aolicitatioa by a minor newe- <br />paper carrier ot customera for a newepaper whidh <br />he reqularly delivers or will regularly deliver <br />shall not ba included in thie deEinition. <br />?(b) "Canvasser" or "solicitor" means any pereon who <br />eaqaqes in canvasainq or solicitinq. <br />739.02 Reqistratiion Required <br />No person shall canvaaa or solicib within the <br />Municipality without first reqisterinq with the <br />Mayor. A separdte reqistration muet be made !or <br />every solicitor, aqent or employee aolicitinq aith- <br />ia the Municipality.
