ORDINANCE NO. 79-13 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mr• Bennett <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTAORI2ING THE <br />PURCHASE OF TWO (2) AUTOMOBILES. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised for and received, <br />according to law, only one bid was received, which bid was in <br />conformance with the specifications upon which the bid was <br />received; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth is determined to <br />be the lowest and best bidder for two (2) automobiles in accordance <br />with the advertisements for bids, pursuant to law, in the amount of <br />Four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($4,668.00) for each <br />automobile. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of Finance are <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Deacon's Chrysler- <br />Plymouth for the purchase of two (2) automobiles in the amounts <br />specified hereinabove. Said contract shall be in accordance with <br />the specif.ications upon which the bid was received and shall be <br />approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. This is an emergency Ordinance immediately <br />necessary for the immediate preservation o£ the health, safety and <br />welfare of the community in that it will facilitate and promote <br />the continuation of effective municipal services. It shall therefore <br />take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not <br />less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the <br />Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />PASSED: March , 1979 <br />APPROVED: ? <br />?R t G.
