N0. 79-36 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT FOR REFUSE REMOVAL. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised for and received, <br />according to law, Village Disposal is hereby declared to be the <br />lowest and best bidder on a contract for residential refuse <br />removal in Mayfield Village; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Village Disposal is determined to be the lowest <br />and best bidder on the contract £or residential refuse removal <br />in Mayfield Village in accordance with the advertisement for bids, <br />pursuant to law, in the amount o£ Four pollars ($4.00) per month <br />per unit £or a period of three (3) years. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of Finance are <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Village Disposal <br />for residential refuse removal in the amount and £or the time period <br />specified hereinabove. Said contract shall be in accordance with <br />the specifications upon which the bid was received and shall be <br />approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. This is an emergency ordinance immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the health,safety and welfare of <br />the community in that it will insure the continued and uninterrupted <br />removal o£ re£use for the residents of May£ield Village. It shall <br />therefore takeeffect immediately upon the affirmative vote of not <br />less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the <br />Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time alXo-?ed by law. <br />PASSED: June 1 , 1979 <br />APPROVED: 4? `- <br />Ro t G.
