ORDINANCE N0. 74- 8 <br />Introduced by: BoZ'dOri3ti'O <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICE OF ROAD FOREMAN <br />AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 252A <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. There is hereby created the office of Road Foreman who shall <br />be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation of Council, for a period of <br />one year. <br />Section 2. The duties and responsibilities of the Road Foreman are as <br />follows: <br />a. To supervise the construction, repair and maintenance of Village <br />roads and streets. <br />b. To report areas of deterioration and make a recoffiended schedule <br />of repair. <br />Section 3. The Road Foreman shall be compensated for his services at <br />the rafe of $8,724.00 per year, beginning January 1, 1974. <br />Section 4. The Village shall also provide and pay the premiums for <br />hospitalization and medical insurance for the Road Foreman through Blue Cross <br />of Northeast Ohio, Inc. <br />Section 5. Existing Ordinance 252A shall be repealed as of the effective <br />date of this ordinance. <br />Section 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to obtain the maximum <br />efficiency in the construction, repair and maintenance of Village roadways. <br />Passed this 21st day of January, 1974. <br />ATTEST: <br />>9d//", b /W ? <br />(r) CLERK-TREASURER <br />
