ORDINANCE N0. 74- 11 <br />Introduced by: BOL'dOAa,CO <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE MAYOR AND <br />CLERK TREASURER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE <br />PiODEL TRAFFIC AND GENERAL OFFENSES CODES WITHOUT <br />COMPETITIVE BIDDING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGF. OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. It is hereby determined that The Justinian Publishing Company <br />has published a New Code which contains an up-to-date Traffic and General Offenses <br />Code consistent with the recent revision of the State Criminal Code. <br />Section 2. It is further determined that the revised State Criminal Code <br />contains many conflicts with the existing ordinances of the Village of Mayfield and <br />it is essential to the proper administration of justice within this community to <br />authorize the purchase of a Code which is consistent with said revisions. <br />Section 3. The Mayor and Clerk Treasurer are authorized to enter into a <br />contract with The Sustinian Publishing Company to purchase 25 copies of Model <br />Traffic and General Offenses Codes for a price not to exceed $800.00. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of <br />the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in that it will provide for the proper <br />administration of justice and this ordinance shall, therefore, be in full force <br />and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of Sanuary, 1974. <br />- PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />"`--- <br />,(S AL) Clerk-Treasurer <br />l <br />
