ORDINANCE N0. 74- Z1 <br />Introduced by: pqr. Prager <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR <br />THE tEASE OF POLICE CRUISERS WITH SUCCESSFUL BIDDER AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Council finds that an advertisement for the tender of bids <br />for the lease or sale of police cruisers was published in the Sun-Messenger, a <br />newspaper of general circulation, in accordance with the Revised Code of Ohio; <br />that bids were received from Municipal Leasing Systems, Inc. and Deacon's Chrysler- <br />Plymouth, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure for the immediate <br />preservation of the public peace, property and safety and by reason of the emergency <br />which exists, the Village of Mayfield deems it a matter of great urgency to lease <br />two police cruisers and thereby avoid any impairment in the operation of the <br />Police Department; <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, COUNTY OF <br />CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. It is hereby determined that the bid of Municipal Leasing <br />Systems,Inc. to lease two 1974 police cruisers in accordance with specifications <br />of the Village of Mayfield is the lowest and best bid. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer be and they are hereby authorized <br />to lease two police cruisers,the terms of which contract shall be in accordance with <br />the specifications upon which such bid was received. The cost of said contract shall <br />be payable out of funds appropriated for said purpose. <br />Section 3. For the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is made a <br />part hereof, this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall <br />take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date permitted by law following <br />its passage. <br />Passed this/ U'-day of March, 1974. <br />Attest: <br />94 *-Lyi, <br />(Se ) C1erk-Treasurer <br />
