ORDINANCE N0. 74-53 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Prager <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT <br />OF WILLIAM T. .TACKMAN, P.E. <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it for the best interests of the Village of Mayfield <br />to employ a professional engineer to provide engineering services to improve to <br />Manual Standards and otherwise modernize certain locations on Wilson Mills Road from <br />the West Village Limits, east to S. R. 91. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. William T. Sackman, P.E., be and he is hereby employed as an <br />engineer to serve the Village in all matters relating to a project which encom- <br />passes modernization of certain locations on Wilson Mills Road from the West City <br />Limits, east to S. R. 91. <br />Section 2. Compensation of the Engineer shall be based upon a percentage <br />of the construction cost calculated at the rate of 12% of the first $100,000 con- <br />struction cost for preliminary engineering, final design and construction engineering. <br />Payment for the completed services will occur as work progresses in accordance with <br />the following schedule indicating the proration of the fee based upon phases: <br />A. Preliminary Engineering - 50% of the total fee. <br />B. Final Design - 40% of the total fee. <br />C. Construction Engineering - 10% of the total fee. <br />Section 3. The Mayor and Clerk Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a contract for engineering services with William T. Jackman, P.E., in <br />the foxm which has been approved by this Council and is attached to this Ordinance <br />as Exhibit A. <br />Section 4: This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, safety and welfare of <br />the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to provide necessary engineering <br />services to modemize certain locations on Wilson Mills Road, and this Ordinance shall <br />take effect immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of <br />Attest: <br />. 4 ???„ '?. <br />(?a CLERK-TREASURER <br /> <br />November , 1974.
