Ordinance No.75-14 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Prager <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1(k)3 OF <br />ORDINANCE N0. 74-15 BY CHANGING THE ANNUAL <br />RENEWAL AND ANNUAL INSPECTION FEE FOR EACH <br />SUITE IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING AND DECLARING <br />AN EPiERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, <br />THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 1(k)3 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 1(k)3. Except where a total lump sum permit fee may be <br />paid, the fee for a certificate of occupancy issued upon completion <br />of an apartment building shall be $3.00 for each suite. Thereafter, <br />an annual renewal and annual inspection fee of $5.00 for each suite <br />shall be paid by the owner or agent of the ocaner of the apartment <br />building, upon submission of the prescribed form by the building <br />official of the municipality within 60 days following January 1 of <br />each calendar year, commencing January 1, 1976. <br />Section 2. This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of <br />the residents of Mayfield Village in order to provide sufficient funds to insure <br />proper annual inspection of suites in apartment buildings and to provide for the <br />reimbursement of the municipality for expenses incurred in the manner described <br />herein.
