Busa AN ORDINANCE AMENDIN6 ORDINANCE N0. 71-42 TO EXTEND THE TERM OF A CONTRACT WITH TAE CLEVELAND ELECTRIC ILLUMINATING COMPANY FOR STREET LIGHTING SERVICE IN THE MUNICIPALITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Municipality desires to extend the term oE a contract with The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for £urnishing street lighting service in the Municipality in accordance with its terms for such service, and the Company (herein- after called "Contractor") desires to render said service; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, CUYAHOGA COUDITY, OHIO, TAAT: Section 1. Ordinance No. 71-42 passed September 20, 1971 be and the same is hereby amended to read as Pollows: "That the Mayor and the Finance Director of the Municipality be and they are hereby authorized and directed to extend the Agreement for electric street lighting with the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company an additional one-year period to 12 Noon of September 1, 1977 and from month-to-month there- after for an additional twelve (12) months, subject to cancellation on a written notice by the contractor to be given prior to April lst in any year, to be effective January lst in the following year. Section 2. All other provisions of the Agreement accepted by Ordinance No. 71-42 remain in effect. Section 3. Coimcil declares this-•to be an emergency Ordinance necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Mayfield Village, such emergency arising out of a necessity o£ providing street lighting within the Municipality; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be e£fective immediately upon passage by two-thirds majority of the elected members of Coimcil.
