<br />Ordinance li 76-30 <br />Introduced by: Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF TRANS- <br />PORTATION TO IMPROVE A PORTIONOF SOM CENTER ROAD <br />BETWEEN A POINT 0.53 MILES NORTH OF THE MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE SOUTH CORPORATION LIMIT AND THE MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE NORTH CORPORATION LIMIT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Transportation is considering improving a portion of <br />the public highway which is as described as follows: By applying an asphalt concrete <br />surface course (404) on SR-91 (S.O.M.Center Road) between a point 0.53 miles north o£ <br />the Mayfield South Corporation I.imit and the Mayfield North Corporation Limit <br />(Cuyahoga and Lake County Line). Length: 10,666 ft.; Approximate thickness: 1 inch; <br />Width: 20 ft.; Total length 2.02 miles. Also the shoulder.s will be reconditioned <br />by doing shoulder preparation and placing an asphalt concrete shoulder wedge course <br />(404). Width: 3 ft.; Approximate thickness: 2 inches. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, that: <br />Sartinn 1_ ('.nnaant_ <br />It is declared to be in the public interest that the consent o£ said Village be <br />and such consent is hereby given to the Director of Transportation to construct the <br />above described improvement, in accordance with plans, specifications and estimates <br />as approved by the Director. <br />Section 2. Cooperation. <br />Said Village hereby proposes to cooperate with the State o£ Ohio, in the cost <br />of the above described improvements.as follows: A lump sum of $ 466.3$ which <br />includes the cost of resurfacing, engineering, inspection, contingencies and adjusting <br />utility castings to grade; that the lump sinn of $ 841.38 is hereby appropriated <br />forthe improvement of the highway as described hereinabove. <br />Section 3. Authority to Sign. <br />The Mayor and Finance Director of said Village are hereby authorized to enter <br />into maintenance and parking agreements and special contractual obligations. <br />Section 4. Maintenance, Parking, Traffic Control Signals and Devices. <br />Upon completion o£ said improvements, said Village will therea£ter keep said <br />highway open to traffic at all times, and <br />(a) Maintain the improvement in accordance with the provisions of the statutes <br />re lating thereto and make ample financial and other provisions for such <br />maintenance; and <br />(b) Maintain the right of way and keep it free of obstructions in a manner <br />satisfactory to the State of Ohio and hold said right of way inviolate <br />I
