~~r F, ~II~ `yy~ I~`~ ~'~-- v r:~ fi/) ``, 6~ 1 ~n (l C~ ~., ORDINANCE N0. 72-3 AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS OF FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE No. 71-48 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. VACATIONS. Every full time employee of the Village of Mayfield shall be entitled to the following annual vacations with pay at his regular rate of compensation: One week's paid vacation after twelve (12) full months of service Two weeks' paid vacation after two (2) full years of service Three weeks' paid vacation after ten (10) full years of service Four weeks' paid vacation after fifteen (15) full years of service Five weeks' paid vacation after twenty (20) full yeears of service The head of each department shall determine the schedule of vacations for the employees thereof, but in case of dispute, the matter shall be settled by the Mayor. Vacations shall not be cumulative, but must be taken within the year earned. Section 2. HOLIDAYS. ,ff~ `R ~~ ' ,~a ~.1i~ ~~~ [J t- 7 p11 ~~) ~i ~J ~d5 =) O (1 (a) The following shall be deemed to be holidays on the dates on which they are observed under the laws of the State of Ohio: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. A full time employee shall not be required to work on any of said holidays unless in the opinion of his responsible adminis- trative superior his failure to work would impair the public service. (b) Compensation for holidays not worked. If not required to work on said holidays, a full time employee shall be entitled to receive pay at his regular rate of compensation on such holiday on which he has not worked; provided, however, that if any employee without dust cause (as determined by the head of his department) fails to report to work on a r~ularly scheduled work day immediately preceding or immediately following such holiday, he shall not be entitled to compensation for the holiday not worked. If an employee's work schedule is other than Pfonday through Friday, he shall be entitled to a day's regular pay for a holiday observed on his day off, regardless of the day of the week on which it is observed.
