ORDINANCE N0. 72- <br />BY: 41R. LEECH <br />22 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OE ORDINANCE N0. 1047 <br />BY CREATING THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT TO THE SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR & ASSISTANT ROAD FOREMAN' <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYA110GA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1047, entitled, "An Ordinance <br />Creating the Position of Building Inspector & Service Director, and Repealing <br />Ordinances Nos. 921, 956, 992, 1037, and 1042," is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />There is hereby created the position of Assistant to the Service <br />Director & Assistant Road Foreman; who shall be appointed by the Mayor, <br />with the consent of a majority of the members elected to Council, and <br />the person so appointed may be removed at any time by the affirmative <br />vote of a majority of members elected to Council. He shall be compen- <br />sated at the rate of $8,100.00 per year, but such compensation may <br />be changed at any time by Council. Council shall also pay to Blue <br />Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc., the premiums for hospitalization and <br />medical mutual insurance for the Assistant to the Service Director <br />& Assistant Road Foreman. <br />The Assistant to the Service Director & Assistant Road Foreman shall <br />perform such duties as may be assigned to him by the Building Inspector <br />& Service Director and by the Road Foreman. <br />Section 2. Existing Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1047 is hereby repealed <br />as of the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. In all other respects, said Ordinance No. 1047 shall remain <br />in full force and effect, except to the extent that the compensation of officials <br />and employees therein have been increased by subsequent acts of Council. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and <br />coelfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, because of the dire need <br />of more help in the Service Department, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of .Tune, 1972. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK - TREASURER <br />GCS a--'_ <br />MAYOR SIDENT OF COUNCIL <br /> <br />
