ORDINANCE NO. 73 - 2 <br />Introduced by: Bo er <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT <br />TO PURCHASE A POLICE VEHICLE <br />WHEREAS, Council finds that Police Vehicle No. 4612 is a <br />total loss as the result of an accident which occurred on January 10, <br />1973; and <br />WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property and <br />safety and by reason of the emergency which exists, the Village of <br />Mayfield deems it a matter of great urgency to replace the police <br />vehicle and avoid any impairment in the operation of the Police <br />Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Sec. 1. That the Clerk-Treasurer be and he hereby is <br />authorized and directed to make a written contract with Deacon's <br />Chrysler-Plymouth, Inc. upon the basis of its proposal, dated <br />January 12, 1973, for a 1973 Plymouth to be purchased by the Village <br />of Mayfield in the sum of approximately $3,900.00. <br />Sec. 2. For the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, <br />which is made a part hereof, this Ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from <br />and after the earliest date permitted by law following its passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of Janu 973. <br />~~~~ <br />-PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />
