ORDINANCE N0. 73-7 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Leech <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE KEEPING OF <br />TRAILERS, RECREATIONAL VEHICLES AND BOATS <br />UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITIIIN THE VILLAGE OF <br />MAYL'IELD, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 179 <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OFIIO, TIIAT: <br />Sec. 1. The terms "trailer" or "recreational vehicle", as <br />used in t~iis Ordinance, are hereby defined to include a house-car or <br />camp-car or any vehicle or structure capable of being propelled from <br />place to place, either by its own power or by power supplied by some <br />other vehicle attached, or to be attached thereto, and being suitable <br />for use as living, sleeping, office, storage, or recreational facilities. <br />Sec. 2. It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, <br />occupant or agent of such person in charge of the land, to keep, place, <br />maintain or permit to remain upon any private premises in Mayfield Vil- <br />lage, a trailer or recreational vehicle as above defined, boat, boat on <br />stanchions, wood frame or trailer, not within an enclosed structure <br />fully complying with the ordinances of the Village of Mayfield, except <br />as provided in Section 3 herein. <br />Sec. 3. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Ordinance, <br />a person, firm or corporation engaged in construction upon a lot or <br />parcel of land in Mayfield Village may use a trailer as an office or <br />place of storage during such construction, provided such person, firm or <br />corporation first obtain a permit for that purpose from the Police <br />Department. The application for such permit shall be signed by the <br />applicant and shall contain a description of the premises to be occu- <br />pied, the construction to be performed thereon, the name of the owner <br />or occupant of said premises, the name and address of the owner of the <br />trailer, the license number of the trailer and the vehicle to which it <br />is or may be attached, and such other information as the Police Depart- <br />ment may require. The application shall be endorsed with the written <br />consent to the parking of such trailer by the owner or responsbile <br />occupant of the premises to be occupied, and such consent shall be <br />signed by such person. Upon proper application being made, the Building <br />Inspector shall issue a permit for the parking of such trailer on said <br />parcel and said permit so issued by the Building Inspector shall be for <br />a period not to exceed the duration of the construction job. The appli- <br />cant shall pay in advance as a fee for such permit the sum of $1.00 for <br />each day covered by said permit, based upon the applicant's estimate of <br />the duration of the construction job, paying any additional fee immed- <br />iately upon the termination of said construction job. <br />Sec. 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provi- <br />sions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon the <br />conviction thereof shall be fined not more than One Hundred Dollars <br />
