<br />ORDINANCE NO. 73- 21 <br />Introduced by: Mre Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT FOR RESURFACING OF ROADS <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has published notice in the <br />Sun-Messenger on April 26, 1973 and May 3, 1973, for tender of bids <br />for resurfacing of roads, pursuant to specifications, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement for tender of bids, <br />bids were received at the Village Hall, 6621 Wilson Mills Road, <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, until 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, <br />Friday, May 25, 1973: <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO. <br />Sec. 1. The Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to execute a <br />contract with PIONEER CONTRACTING CORPORATION <br />for resurfacing of roads with said company which was the lowest and <br />best bidder determined after competitive bidding. The cost and ex- <br />pense of said resurfacing shall not exceed $ 18,888.00. <br />Sec. 2. Council declares this to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, <br />such emergency arising out of the necessity to repair public roadways <br />without undue delay, in order to correct a situation deemed undesirable; <br />wherefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed this 18th day of June, 1973. <br />ATTEST: <br />i - '~ - ` <br />(SEA L' K-TREASURER <br /> <br />
