3 ~/ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1059 <br />By: Mr. Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MZLT MILLER PONTIAC, INC, <br />FOR THE SAL$ OF A POLICE AUTOMOBILE TO THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD. <br />IdHEREAS, Dlilt Miller Pontiac, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly filed <br />its bid with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village. of Mayfield, in accordance <br />with law, offering to sell to the Village a new 1968 Pontiac Catalina automobile, <br />equipped in accordance with specifications, for the sum of Two Thousand Eight <br />Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Eighty-Seven Cents ($2,818,87), with an allowance <br />of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) for trade in of a 1963 Pontiac Catalina station <br />wagon now in use by the Service Department, with the provision that, if the <br />Village can realize more money on said used automobile by selling it between <br />the time of the bid and the time of delivery of the new car, the Village may <br />do so, and said bid is in accordance with the specification established in <br />connection with the Notice for Bid; and, <br />WHEREAS, said bid of I•lilt Miller Pontiac, Inc, is the lowest and <br />best bid submitted; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Village elects to sell said used automobile and to pay <br />the bid price to said Milt pliller Pontiac, Inc., without trading in the used <br />automobile. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The bid of Piilt Miller Pontiac, Inc., offering to sell <br />to the Village of Mayfield a new 1968 Pontiac Catalina automobile and equipment, <br />as. described in its bid submitted in response to the advertisement for bids, <br />for the sum of Two Thousand Eight Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Eighty-Seven <br />Cents ($2,818,87) and title charges, be, and the same is hereby accepted. <br />Section 2, The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are hereby <br />authorized and empowered to execute all such documents and to do all things <br />necessary to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3.
